Visual Art

I am a self-taught artist who learned to draw “properly” at age 18. My work is concerned with perceiving and elevating the beauty in people and their interactions and with imagining possible futures.

Look Before You Read!

In time, I might share remarks about each work of which I post an image. This is a practice that I appreciate when done by others for the purpose of connecting with them through their work and understanding more about their perspective. But even if/when those remarks exist, I suggest that you look carefully at a given image before reading what I have to say about it. What do you see? Describe features to yourself as clearly, concretely, and objectively as possible. Then, how do you feel in looking at it? What might your experience be in the snippet of a world represented in the image? Sharing art, to my view, is for giving the audience interesting experiences via their interactions with it. It’s true that often there is some specific statement or question that I’m trying to get across or that at least motivated me to create a given piece. But after the creation phase, I think that your observations and opinions are far more important, so I invite you to believe your eyes rather than me!
